With the "very close" release of SharePoint 2010 Beta 2 with a go-live license I'm pleased to announce that the SharePointDevWiki.com and SharePointAdminWiki.com will be migrating to the new platform!
Why is this good for you...well when you are contributing to the new site you'll be using the new SharePoint 2010 platform for starters!
Going back over old ground the reason I didn't use SharePoint 2007 for the platform was due to its limitations. Now most of these have gone away...but there is some work to get it up to where I want it to be. So I'll be writing add-ons for the wiki platform and reporting back on how I've extended it.
I would also like to thank Mark Rhodes from emantra for organising me SharePoint 2010 Beta 2 Enterprise hosting for the wikis here in Australia.
Seeking a designer who wants a challenge
I am also seeking a web designer who is up for the challenge of skinning an out of the box SharePoint 2010 Enterprise Wiki Site based on the new logo that was released at #SPC09 for the wiki. Please leave comments below or contact me if you are interested contact me
Don't have a blog...want one?
The other area the new platform will offer is a blogging platform for each registered user if they choose to use it. I know that SharePointBlogs.com went down recently and has been taken over another provider (can't remember right now who that was SUG?), but figured it'd be worth having some cool developers and admins blogging on the platform too.
